  There's plenty of soaring hot days during the year and I always go here to cool down!! Especially with their special halo halo. Hands down, this place has the best halo halo in San Diego. Goldilocks? Nah. Grill City? Nope! Erlinda's Ice Cream parlor is the way to go. It's the closest tasting one you can get if you want the full Filipino experience if you haven't gone to the Philippines.
  If the people you're with don't want halo halo, there's plenty of other selections from Thrifty ice cream.
  *The only reason why I didn't give it a five star is because I haven't tried the actual food on the other side of the store.

  Plane tickets to the Philippines is expensive. Life gets in the way sometimes and it's also difficult finding time to go home and visit relative.
  
  Erlinda's is like a slice of home for me. From the decor to the staff, it all reminds me of the province I grew up in. On hot days in San Diego, Erlinda's is the spot!
  
  I've been looking for amazing Halo-Halo for years and I'm always stuck just going back to Chowking or Goldilocks but it's not the same! I need that friendly auntie that greets me and makes the halo-halo in front of me. I want to have that super friendly cashier that will joke around with customers. I need the titas that sit around and gossip about the neighborhood and Erlinda's has them all!
  
  If you're not into that whole thing at least you can enjoy some halo-halo properly made. It's not too sweet but not bland either. The ice chunks aren't too fine or too thick. The jellies and beans are the right ratio and for the price, it is literally a steal! Don't forget to buy some empanada or bibinka for your merienda. If you're craving some Filipino food, they got you! You want Filipino desserts? They have that too? You just want to drink with the boys? They got pulutan for you!
  
  Erlinda is a little slice of home for Filipinos like myself. Please come through and support their business.

  My first time here today and I find this place average.  It was not my favorite Filipino place it was just overall ok.  I got their pork adobo which were big chunk of pork meat and to me I felt it was pretty salty.  The second item I had was the pork menudo and that was average as well.  The rice they used was a cheaper kind of jasmine rice it seems.  Overall, price was decent and the portion was huge! I also tried the Halo Halo special and there was nothing special about it.  The Ube ice cream was the only yummy part.

  A little greasy spoon, Filipino, point-point joint!  Hell yeah!  They always have a bunch of options and all really tasty!  They changed names a couple years ago and with it, i'm guessing management/ ownership.  Many of the same staff though and the food still rocks!  Used to stay open until 3 AM on weekends and got the after club crowd coming in.  Not anymore, regular business hours.  If you get a combo to go, the container is literally bursting at the seams with enough food for either two meals or two people.  Either way, you'll be more than satisfied with the amount.
  
  They also have an ice cream counter.  Many rave about the halo halo here.  i'm not much of a fan and have never tried it, but must be good based on the feedback!

  Love Erlinda's! It is as close as you are going to get to a homemade Filipino meal without going to someone's house.
  I have tried several other Filipino places in the neighborhood and I like Erlinda's best. Their Hallahalla? Spelling? Is awesome!
  I love to go down here on Saturday mornings early and load up on Filipino food and head back home to watch football and eat great Filipino food all weekend! If you haven't been here yet, give this place a try!
